That sucks. Too bad gamepads aren't easy to replace.

My left stick is going out on me too. I'm hoping it lasts a little while longer, until I can pick up an NX. Who knows though, I might need to hit the classifieds and just replace my launch day console.

I struggle with getting it to recognize down and right. Everything else works fine but as soon as I hit that portion it's a dead zone. I feel your pain but I'm glad mine is mostly in tact.

Did you check cost to repair?

No I agree that Splatoon has a lot of issues, it just comes from Nintendo never making a competitive shooter before. Things like not being able to play Turf War in ranked, or the matchmaking being sketchy outside of ranked, or not being able to switch loadouts even in the lobby, or people not being able to join a match while it's ongoing even if somebody else disconnected (or even spectate it in case someone leaves), or the map rotation being hilarious, or being unable to add strangers to a friends list so you can do ranked team matches more easily, or not having voicechat, and on and on and on. These are things that don't break the game because the gameplay is so damn solid, but if they got addressed in Splatoon 2 (and the NX is more successful than the Wii U), it would give the game a lot more longevity for competitive players. Splatoon 2 is a game that the competitive scene is begging for, all it needs is a few specific features and it would be received with a red carpet.
Yeah, all of this. The mechanics and gameplay design of Splatoon are off the charts, but that doesn't mean I don't have some problems with it. That said...lag issues from playing people half a world away aren't gonna go away. Sadly, you can't 100% netcode your way around someone with a shit connection. A region-only option would be an answer...but I gotta say that I kinda like playing against the Empire. They have some amazing players.

All in all it cost me 20 bucks to replace both analog sticks. I recommended to @Koenig to do the same and he did.

Man if I can find the links or if Koenig still has them I'll post them for you @tekshow so you and @FriedShoes can do the same.

My brother ended up replacing them for me and it looked like no problem.

It was also my left thumb stick.

Yep. It's the lefty.

Makes sense though cause I love the Gamepad and use it all the time, even when I could use the Pro controller. Totally be down for those links...
I'll dig them up today. @Koenig you don't happen to have them handy do you? I can't remember what PM I put them in either.

Anyway I'll find them

@tekshow

They let us on a team one time. Won so hard they said no more.

Great games :msrs::msrs:
Boiiiiii! Tons of fun. Trying to go back to my old nerfed .52 gal :)

Sorry I had to run off to a family event. Clearly I have not yet given up the addiction- good games my friend

Edit: nerfed - man they stripped the .52 so hard even with a full power up ability it's not guaranteed a 2 shot kill. Still a blast when it goes off lol

For all GamePad Stick issues, take a look at this thread:

I just had to clean mine and bang, I was back to Splatoon. :)
