A few years ago, the phenomenon that is “Twitch Plays Pokémon” briefly gripped the world of nerds, developing its own dramatic and memorable mythology in a matter of days. It allowed people in a Twitch stream to dictate the commands of the Pokémon game being played on screen via commenting. That concept has gained a lot of traction in various different ways since then.
