Nintendo Switch has been extremely successful since is launch in March 2017. The hybrid console has outsold the Nintendo 3DS in less than four years, which is impressive considering how long the 3DS was on the market. Meanwhile, Nintendo’s previous home console, the Wii U, obviously didn’t meet sales expectations. Nintendo is focused on delivering new content to Switch, and the Wii U was left behind long ago.
