Last week, the latest installment in the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil Village, launched to critical acclaim on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox and managed to ship over 3 million units in its first four days. Despite all this, Resident Evil Village sales in Japan were the series’s worst since the release of Resident Evil 4 on GameCube in 2005 (not including other platforms).
