Between the Nintendo 64 and GameCube, several of Nintendo’s greatest mascots made glorious debuts in the third dimension: Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Metroid Prime all carried their respective franchises into near full-time 3D. However, not every Nintendo series became a full-fledged 3D regular.
