Mario Kart Tour, a reasonably fun game hampered by its atrocious gacha-style microtransactions, is sticking to its paywalls. A slew of new tracks, characters, and kart parts are now available to unlock, and to entice players to try their luck at scoring some of the new content, Nintendo has dropped several in-game currency bundles disguised as character DLC. Technically, they offer decent value compared to the game’s normal rates, but Mario Kart Tour is such an all-around disaster on the monetization front.
