About what counts - I'd say just use your gut instinct on that.

An asterisk * denotes a second+ playthrough (in the year of 2016). For example, if I beat Mega Man 5 in January 2016 and March 2016, I'd get the *, but if I beat it in December 2015 and March 2016 it would just be put up normally.

For myself personally I would say if you beat a game this year, even if you have beaten it before would count. Right? I don't make the rules I don't know how these things work.

Darksiders 1 or 2?

And replays count (although if you replay more than once this year I'll simply add an asterisk next to it to denote another multiple).

It's more a where you placed the Title on it issue....

Since it's at the bottom of the image, it's covered by the words on the banner title....

So you can't see it clearly....

You just see the image of the three people and can't really see the Title....

If you did the same image just with the title more towards the top of the image, then I think it would work just fine....

I'll try to actually participate in this one this year.

First up, I finally beat the last solo quest in MH4U a few days ago, so I'm counting it.

MONSTER HUNTER 4 ULTIMATE - COMPLETE.

Just finished Portal 2. Perhaps one of the funniest games I ever played.

One issue I do have though is that the game introduces new mechanics regularly, and when they do, the next few levels become tutorial-ly. This causes the difficulty to kinda reset before it becomes harder again.

Still, the writing kept me laughing, the puzzles were addicting, the music was fantastic and honestly, I just want more Portal.

Which brings me to my last point....anyone want to co-op with me?

edit: wrote it in the CT, so I'll update it here too. If someone wants to play it and with me, but don't have it, I'll buy it for them if they want

What exactly constitutes having "beaten" a game for the purposes of this thread? I ask because I may have "beaten" Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, but I haven't unlocked every level? I'm done playing the game. I've gotten basically all the enjoyment I can out of it.

I did for sure just beat The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D however. Very good, but my least favorite Zelda that I've played thus far.

Unasked for Zelda list from me: 1. Twilight Princess, 2. Ocarina of Time, 3. Skyward Sword, 4. Wind Waker, 5. Majora's Mask.

Also just beat Steamworld Heist. Fantastic game.

Made me feel like a badass pulling off a strategy, I also got full star ratings on every level. These Steamworld games are great, really looking forward to the future of the series.

Also had really good music, gonna have to look up the artist.

I intend to play some Wii games this year that I've never played. This year I want to get through my Wii backlog and never look back.

PS: I finished my GC backlog one year ago and I still have tons of DS games to taste.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (DS)

God damn, this game was good! I'd honestly say this is better than any of the Phoenix Wright games. A shame that the sequel never got localized for a western release...and that The Great Ace Attorney won't be localized either :(

All my Sims died in Sims 3 and I got an ending screen. Dont think that counts.

Chibi Robo: Zip Lash, regrettably. The final final world is unlocked by luck through an amiibo capsule machine. Pretty bad design. But I was able to knock that out and put the game out of my mind.

It's a reference to the TNE chat's ponderings on the nature of the universe, and our plan to deal with it. I believe it ended up as "Marry the kill, ride the giants, and give donuts to the universe".

To clarify - You played through Until Dawn from start to finish again after beating in in 2016?

Hmm... Not sure if it really counts, in that case. A game with Co-op (even optional) is fine (ala bloodborne or Dark Souls) but you've gotta be in control not only 90 % of the time, but for the start and the finish.

(This is somewhat more strict on a second playthrough than the first. If you have someone help you beat a boss or a puzzle that you just don't want to/can't beat, then I would still count it)

I'll continue to call these games "not games" in other places, but if it suits me here I'll take it.
Life is Strange had more interactivity and player agency. Until Dawn was a bit more walking simulator but neither reached Gone Home or Everybodys Gone to the Rapture levels of nongame.
