Hello folks. Inspired by new cool things TNE team are doing on TNE social side. I've got just a thought about Snapchat and Instagram.

TNE is on Twitter, Youtube, Tumblr and we love it. So I'd like to talk about two other options: Snapchat and Instagram. The later has become a very strong game community and Snapchat is growing as an important social tool.

There are thousands of gamers on Instagram. I follow a lot of them and I'm there myself. We find:

  • Collectors who post their collection photos.
  • Game art.
  • Screenshots.
  • Gameplay.
  • News.
  • Youtube channel marketing.
  • Retro
  • Nintendo fans
  • Toys
  • Meetings.
  • Cosplay
  • etc.

Some examples:

I'd love to see to TNE on Instagram (are you there?). I think hundreds of people will follow TNE and we could make a great community.

The other one is Snapchat

Snapchat used to be just a messaging app, but not any more.

Snapchat started its Story service where a user can post a photo or a video on his profile and everyone who follows him will see them for 24 hours. After releasing this, Snapchat became a highly valuable social tool.

Right now many organisations and many people are sharing their Snapchat stories and getting hundreds of followers. Recently I could find a few Snapchat "celebrities" that have become great examples of Snapchat marketing. Some big sites like Mashable have joined Snapchat and are posting great stuff there.

Some examples of Snapchat sucessful stories:

Snapchat is not exactly a gamers point now. As far as I know there aren't many gamers posting things there, but I see a good opportunity. I saw some gamers posting their snapchats on Instagram and Facebook, trying to create something game related. People can share screenshots, collections, what they're playing, game parties, etc as they do on Instagram.

Well, maybe you TNE team is aware about it, but I'm just sharing a thought. :) They could be new TNE frontiers.

I don't care for Instagram but I do like using Snapchat on my iPod. Always nice to get a funny video and see peoples stories and what not.

Me too. Snapchat is getting better with stories. And the best thing about Snapchat is its short videos and ten seconds photos that make stories short.
